The first trailer for the latest DC-inspired live series from The CW, Gotham Knights, which debuted online on Tuesday, giving viewers their best look yet at the upcoming series. Set to debut sometime in 2023 as part of the network’s 2022-2023 season, the series has piqued the interest of DC fans, particularly with the ending of several other DC-inspired CW series – BatumanAnd the The legends of tomorrow in the capitalAnd the Naomi — but now that the trailer is finally here, fans aren’t exactly stunned by what they’re watching and have taken to social media to share a bunch of reactions with many of them completely uninterested in this new series.
in Gotham KnightsIn the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his rebellious adopted son forms an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed to kill the Caped Crusader. As the city’s most wanted criminals, this rebellious group of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in Gotham City where there is no dark knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous city of all. However, hope comes from the most unexpected places where this team of mismatched fugitives will become the next generation of saviors. The series stars Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes, Anna Laure as Stephanie Brown, Olivia Rose Keegan as Doila Dent, Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelly, Fallon Smith as Harper Row, Tyler Dichiara as Colin Rowe, and Misha Collins as Harvey Dent.
While the intro is interesting enough, after watching the trailer, fans on Twitter aren’t quite ready Gotham Knights. As with anything, there have been a host of responses, but much of what was shared questioned the tone and quality, and even suggested that people watch the other series instead. There’s also some positive feedback, too, with some fans excited to see Misha Collins’ Harvey Dent on screen.
